Meet Mohammed

Mohammed Aneez (he/him) is a freelance content creator and influencer based in Kerala, India. He is a visual communication graduate and a passionate photographer who brings unusual perspectives to his work. A firm believer in the expression, “less is more,” Aneez brings a minimalist approach to documenting a society known for its maximalist visual culture.

Aneez seeks to highlight the tremendous diversity of his country, while dispelling negative cultural stereotypes that have developed. For his Adobe Stock Artist Development Fund project, he was inspired by the Family Life theme to depict Muslim households in India. “As a member of the Muslim minority community here, I understand what it’s like not to be seen,” he said. “My Adobe Stock commission project provides an opportunity to showcase family life for a community that has been underrepresented and misunderstood and change that perception through my lens and through my art.” Aneez wants his work to accurately portray diverse communities and rich cultures from his country.
