Get started with motion graphics
Have a question? Get an answer below.
Motion graphics are eye-catching animations, intro graphics, transitions, subscribe buttons, and more that bring your video storytelling to life. Adobe offers motion graphics templates (or MOGRTS), which make it easy and fast to add these elements to your video timeline. Simply browse, import, and customize MOGRTS within Premiere Pro.
First, pick a template, then drag it onto your timeline. Then change the template properties by selecting Window > Essential Graphics panel > Edit.
Depending on the type of template, you can:
- Choose color, source text, animation options from a range of choices provided to you by the template author.
- Edit properties such as fonts, font size, font styles, and much more.
Adobe Stock offers over 10,000 free HD or 4K video clips and over 700 free motion graphics templates (including transitions, titles/text overlays, social media graphics, and more). Adobe Stock does not offer free audio assets at this time. However, royalty-free audio tracks may be purchased with either a credit pack or a subscription.
How do I browse and select Stock resources within Premiere Pro?
It’s easy to navigate to Adobe Stock’s video footage, graphics templates, and audio right inside your Premiere Pro app. Each panel below is found under the Window tab in the file menu:
- For video footage and motion graphics templates, open the Essential Graphics panel.
- For audio, open the Essential Audio panel.
Adobe Stock assets can be used in any creative project, including print ads, brochures, presentations, posters, book covers, commercials, websites, and annual reports. Learn more about using Stock assets and Adobe Stock licensing terms.
Individuals and teams can access Adobe Stock standard assets (standard images, standard templates, and standard 3D assets) through subscription plans. Subscription plans range from three standard assets per month to 750 standard assets per month. Premium assets, such as videos, Premium collections images, and editorial images or videos, can be licensed on-demand or using credits from a credit pack. You are not required to purchase a subscription plan to license on-demand assets.
Creative Cloud Libraries are a way for you to save, organize, and share your creative files. Access the items in your Libraries across all your Adobe apps. To open the Libraries panel in Premiere Pro, go to Window > Libraries.
Found an asset you like on the Adobe Stock website? Quickly bring it into Premiere Pro using Libraries. Under the title of the asset, click “Add to libraries.” (Be sure to log in to your Adobe account on the Adobe Stock site first.) When you open your Libraries panel in Premiere Pro (or another Adobe app), your asset will be there. Premium content will be saved with a watermarked preview.
