Meet Mario

Mario Enrique Velásquez (he/him) is a commercial and artistic photographer based in Guatemala. He seeks to tell stories using digital tools as a resource to build images for advertising campaigns for local and international brands.

Mario believes his photographs can transform people’s perception of his country, and he is intent on using his work to drive more awareness, transformation, and inclusiveness. He says, “I’m looking to show the most positive side of my country. I’m extremely committed to my family, and I’m doing what I can to help build a country without discrimination.
