Meet Ling-Hsiu

Ling-Hsiu Tsai (also known as The Alice Tsai) (she/her), is an illustrator and animator based in Taipei. Her passion for expressing her thoughts and feelings for love, death, and lives brings her work to a deep conceptual level.

Ling-Hsiu’s experience of living abroad as a young Asian woman combines western elements and eastern colors and texture into her artwork. She says, “The art that I like to do is mostly illustration, and a little bit surrealistic. I like to combine plants and nature with female themes. The colors that I like to use are mostly very vibrant but, with a little bit of a beautiful, romantic vibe to them. I like to play with the texture and layers a lot. Some people think it's like a kind of art where you can go into the scene.” Ling-Hsiu is inspired by the Healing Reflections creative brief for her Adobe Stock Artist Development Fund project. This highly personal project will enable her to meditate on and recover from the stress she met traveling and seeking work—while improving awareness of mental health issues.
