Share your photos from Lightroom.

See how to save an edited photo to share your work with family and friends.

Edit your photo

Select the sample photo and click the icon to open the Edit panel. In the Edit panel, click Presets at the bottom. In the Presets panel, navigate to the Creative category and give your photo a graphic look with the Turquoise & Red preset.

Choose a file format

Let’s save our edited photo. Click the Share icon and select Save To. You’ll see an option to choose your file type. Let’s choose JPEG. If you started with a RAW file and wanted to save it in that same format, you would choose Original + Settings. Settings refers to the changes in the metadata we made while editing our photo.

Select your file location and size

Choose the location where you’d like to save your photo. By default, it will save in your Pictures folder. We’ll leave that as is, but you could also save your photo anywhere on your computer or an external drive. Next, we’ll go to the Size menu. Small is a good size for attaching to an email. Full Size is good for printing, or you can choose Custom. We’ll choose Small and click Save.

Find your saved photo

You can find our saved photo in the Pictures folder. In that folder, you’ll see the copy of the photo with the edits we made earlier. From there you can attach it to an email, text it to a friend, upload it to social media, or share it any way you’d like.
